Crowe Home Group

Ken and Tami are an Army family who have made multiple moves but trace roots to South Carolina and Kansas. With three lively kids (Bella, Eli, and Nate), our home is often known as the Crowe Family Circus, except on Sunday nights when it is the Church. We are a group of Kentucky natives and transplants seeking to grow and serve where God has planted us. Group members range from retirees to parents with young kids and speak in accents from southern drawls to New England chatter. We talk football, basketball and sewing during our social time and have even been known to leave a game on while we snack and fellowship before study. We enjoy snacks and fellowship from 5:30 to 6:00 and shift to study and sharing until 7pm while the kids play in the back with the sitter. You will be greeted at the door by the circus ringmaster of the day and welcomed to share life with this great group of friends. We look forward to knowing you.

Dewar Home Group

Jim & Kim have been married for 42 years. They met at a small Bible college in Maryland, where Jim was a recent convert trying to learn more about his faith, & Kim was a preacher’s kid still in high school. They married after six months & have served as a pastor couple in four states & one Canadian province. They have three daughters & several grandchildren. They recently moved to Louisville from the Oregon coast to be closer to two of their daughters & four of their grandkids. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, Jim is currently a part-time school bus driver for Miller Transportation, but he is anxious to return to a preaching/teaching role in the Louisville area. He especially loves helping people “connect the dots” where Bible truths are concerned. Kim has a varied background in Human Resources & project management. They both love to read, make new friends, travel, play backgammon & listen to classic 70’s rock! They have led several mission trips to Haiti & have participated in several others. They enjoy introducing people to overseas missions opportunities. Their wish for this group is to be a safe place to ask hard questions, and to encourage believers of all ages to discover practical ways to be the hands & feet of Jesus.

Adam grew up in Michigan (Go Blue!) and Nikki in Louisville; they've been attending Southeast Christian together for the past three years after moving back to KY. Nikki plays softball and volleyball and Adam enjoys golfing and watching any sport available. A rambunctious Australian Shepherd named Meira will be an entertaining addition to all of our game nights! We want more of Jesus, but we find ourselves looking to our own lives and accomplishments for our worth and identity. And while that may buoy us for a time, we're often left feeling dried up, discouraged, and longing for more. Gretchen Saffles knows what it's like to feel overwhelmed and unable to flourish. In The Well-Watered Woman, Gretchen leads us to the Well of fullness, the Word of freedom, and the Way of fruitfulness. She teaches that God's Word will satisfy us for all eternity.

Hamilton//Widows-Women

Martena is a widow of 14 years. She recently joined SE and was amazed by their welcoming spirit, love for Jesus, and community. Last year she joined a widows group in Bullitt County, which opened her eyes to the need for Christian widow fellowship. God has put a calling on her heart to provide a meeting place in Nelson County for widows to support each other and studying the Word together. She understands that women can feel left out and lonely once they've lost a spouse. She wants them to know they are not alone and welcome them to join others who are walking through this season of life.

Aaron and Olivia have been married for a little over 3 years. Aaron is from San Antonio and Olivia is a Louisville native. They met at a summer camp internship while in college, and got married in 2020. They love their two golden-doodles, Fig and Willow, and spending time with family and friends. Olivia grew up going to Southeast Christian Church and has been a member of the southwest campus since its launch. Aaron likes to spend his free time working on home projects, learning about the world of business, and having friends over for good conversation. Olivia enjoys reading, getting coffee with friends, and traveling. Aaron and Olivia both have a desire to walk with other young married couples and create a group founded on biblical relationships with each other. They want to not only learn together, but to also create friendships that are fulfilling, have accountability, and are a safe space. Above all, they want to serve God well and believe that as a young married couple, it is an important season to make sure you have true connections with people who can love and support one another. If you are looking for something similar, they would love for you to join their group and start that journey together!

As a new believer in Jesus, you may be wondering, What now? How do I continue growing in my faith? You’ll gain understanding of the change that has taken place in your heart and life as a new believer and learn what it means to walk out your faith as an individual and as part of the body of Christ—the community known as the Church. Understand the meaning and importance of historic Christian practices like baptism, prayer, worship, the Lord's Supper, tithing, missions, and more. And hear and respond to the calling and encouragement to take the long view of the Christian life, being challenged to endure and leave a legacy of faith behind.
