Believe 2020 • Blankenbaker Campus Info

This page will be updated periodically with Believe information specific to the Blankenbaker Campus. We will have departure information, packing list, important dates and other information listed here.

Medication Instructions: 2020 Believe Medication Instructions

GROUPS & SLEEPING...

We will be sleeping on the floor in various rooms at the Blankenbaker Campus. Students will be split up into groups that they will find out at check-in. They will be sleeping with their group and leaders in grade & gender specific rooms. Boys and Girl will be in separate buildings on campus. There will be security onsite, so your students will be safe and all doors will be locked.

CELEBRATION SERVICE...

Our Celebration Services will be held on Sunday morning at 9am or 11:15am in the Block Auditorium. We want to strongly encourage you to join your student for this service as we will be celebrating together, worshiping together, and connecting as a community. Please attend the normal service hour that your middle school student attends. This will ensure you the opportunity to meet their small group leader.

CHECK-IN...

When you arrive on Friday, January 31st at your student’s designated check-in time, you can drop them off under the portico of the main building and go park, or you can park in the parking lot and you all can walk in together. No one will be permitted to leave their car parked under the portico. When you come in to the atrium, we will direct you and your student where to go through the check-in process. Students will find out where they are sleeping, take their bags to their rooms, and eat dinner in the departure lounge with their group and meet their leaders before loading buses and heading downtown to the conference. Specific departure times will be posted later on.

PICKUP...

Believe will end on Saturday evening at the Blankenbaker Campus at 7:15pm in the Block Auditorium. (Students will not be released for early pickup).

FOOD...

Meals we will provide: Dinner on Friday, small breakfast on Saturday morning, and dinner on Saturday night. Your student will need money (approximately $10-$15) for lunch on Saturday.

MEDICINES...

If your student has medicines, please follow the steps linked at the top of the page. Complete that process and bring any medications needed in their original containers to check-in on Friday. Please only send the necessary and appropriate amount of medication for the duration of the event. Students are not allowed to keep any medication on their person (this includes OTC medications like Tylenol or ibuprofen – the nurse will have these on hand). Please remember this trip is barely over 24 hours, so please only send necessary medications for your student.

PACKING LIST:

*Because we are only staying ONE NIGHT and we are sleeping at the church, your student should not need very much, everything will need to be packed in 1-2 bags. They will be responsible for carrying & keeping up with their stuff.

  • Bible, notebook, and pen
  • Clothes for Friday and Saturday (casual clothes and tennis shoes work great!)
  • Toiletries (no showers)
  • Sling bag
  • Bedding (sleeping bag, blanket, pillow)
  • Money for lunch on Saturday ($10-15), extra money for merchandise (optional)
  • Technology - Our team HIGHLY ENCOURAGES that your student NOT bring a phone or iPod. However, if your student brings technology, it is important to know that we will take ALL technology during the nighttime hours. This decision is to keep our students safe. If technology becomes a distraction for your student in any way, we reserve the right to take it away from the student for the remainder of the event.

***PLEASE NOTE...

Some people have asked about leaving for band competitions or athletic events or other commitments during the conference. Because of the number of people we are taking, the various times of all events, and for security reasons, we will not allow students to come and go during the weekend. Please understand we have to make this decision because it is best for the safety of students and the responsibility of leaders.
