Where do we go once we’re in the building?

In our atrium space is Guest Central. It’s easy to spot…there will be signage and our volunteers are ready to help you in getting where you need to go.

What can I expect from a church service?

Our weekend services typically last about an hour and ten minutes. This includes singing, a message from one of our pastors, prayer, communion, and opportunities to respond following the service.

How can I learn more about the church or get connected?

How do I get my children into SE!KIDs programming?

Come to Guest Central in the Atrium. We will walk you over to our First-Time Childrens Check-In.

Where do we park?

We will have parking in the lot right in front of the main doors of the building. However, if you are family who will be checking in your children to SE!KIDs please park on the side of the building.

What do we wear?

Come as you are! We’re pretty casual here.

How early should we arrive before weekend services?

We typically recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before service that you are planning on attending. However, if you have children we would recommend at least 30 minutes before to have your children check into our SE!KIDs programming.

SE!KIDS weekend experience will serve as a catalyst for Gospel-centered relational connections with kids and their families throughout the week.

The Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—is God’s True Story! In the Bible, we discover Who God is, What He has done, and How to respond to Him. Our prayer is that every child will find their place in God’s Story by trusting Jesus to forgive them and choosing to follow Him for the rest of their life!

How can I check my child into Sunday programming if I’m a first-time guest?

First-time families can preregister online, or they go to Guest Central in the Atrium and someone will help them check in by filling out some quick paperwork. Or, to save time, click HERE to register your children for check-in ahead of time. We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes before the service so that you are not rushed.

What does SE!KIDS programming look like at the Shelby County Campus?

We have environments tailored to each age group (nursery, preschool, and elementary). Preschool and elementary-age children start and finish each hour in their age group, where they are engaged in fun and learning with regular volunteers. Each service also features an age-appropriate large-group worship and lesson.

What if my child needs me during the worship service?

When your child is checked in to our database, you receive a 3-digit Child ID code on your stickers. If we need to contact you for any reason, we will display this code on the screens in the Worship Center.

What if I have more than one child?

In an effort to ensure greater security, our check-in system will assign separate security codes for each of your children. You will notice the age of each of your children followed by their security code on your security tag. Make sure you keep your security tag because you will have to show it at each room you visit to pick up your children.

How can I serve in Children’s Ministry?

Individuals interested in serving with children must have a completed background check and verifiable attendance at Southeast of at least six months prior to working with children. How early can I check in my child?

Check-in begins 20 minutes prior to service time.

What security is there for my child?

The safety of your child(ren) while in our care is of great importance to us. To help ensure the safety of each child, only trained SE!KIDS volunteers are permitted to serve in rooms with children. All volunteers go through a screening process that includes background checks, references, and safety/security training.

Can I still check my child in if I’m late?

Check-in closes 20 minutes after the start of service.

What if my child has allergies?

Please inform us during check-in or let an SE!KIDS volunteer know about any allergies when checking in your child. This alert will be printed on the child’s security sticker so that all volunteers are aware of the allergy.

Can I go into the class with them?

We encourage parents to drop their children off and attend the adult service. We will notify you if you are needed by using your security code, which will appear on the side screens of the Worship Center.

Shelby County Students

Southeast (SE) Students is dedicated to helping students encounter Jesus NOW in a way that continues into their NEXT phase of life.

Whether it’s small groups, camps, events, or just hanging out, everything we do is about connecting people to Jesus and one another.

Within SE Students, there are two age specific ministries: Middle School Ministry (MSM) & High School Ministry (HSM). MSM is for 6th - 8th grade students and HSM is for 9th - 12th grade students. Each ministry has a weekly gathering with small groups. Our small groups are led by adults who are empowered and equipped to disciple students. Each adult volunteer is a member of our church and has completed specialized training to help keep students safe.

When and Where do middle school students meet?

Middle school students meet on Sundays during the 11:15 a.m service in the Student Room.

On Sunday mornings, middle school students have time to play games together, hear teaching from their leaders, and connect with peers in their grade level through small groups. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. in the Student Room.

When and where do high school students meet?

High school groups currently meet on campus on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

How can I serve in Student Ministry?

At both MSM and HSM, we’ll spend time connecting with one another through free Our Student Ministry is built on volunteers who have been equipped and empowered to disciple students.
