Join us in the Blankenbaker Campus Prayer Room as we focus on praising God for who He is and what He promises to do as we humbly lay our requests at His feet. This is an open gathering, where women are welcome to come and go as they please.

"If we call upon the Lord, He has promised in his Word to answer, to bring the unsaved to Himself, to pour out His Spirit among us. If we don’t call upon the Lord, He has promised nothing—nothing at all. It’s as simple as that. No matter what I preach or what we claim to believe in our heads, the future will depend upon our times of prayer." -Jim Cymbala

Martena Hamilton//Widows Women

I am Martena Hamilton, a widow of 14 years. I recently joined Southeast Christian Church and was amazed by their welcoming spirit, their love for Jesus and community. Earlier this year, I joined a widows group in Bullitt County. This made me realize the need for Christian widow fellowship while supporting each other and studying the Word of our amazing Savior. God has put a calling on my heart to provide a meeting place in Nelson County. I think widows can sometimes feel left out and lonely once you have lost a spouse. Just know you are not alone and are welcome to join other widows to walk through this season of life.

Wednesday Night Group

Biblical prophecy involves more of the Bible than the book of Revelation. However, our upcoming series, 15 sessions, will rely on Revelation as the background, supplemented by several other Scriptures for clarity and commentary.

The chronology and the outline of the book are provided as…the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after these things (1:19). The Church age is the first area of attention. The Eternal Order is the conclusion.

Eschatology is the study of last things, things to come. We will identify and focus on these major events. Application of these Scriptures will be emphasized. A Q&A period will typically end each session.

920 // PAL (Parents of Addicted Loved Ones)

PAL provides hope through education and support to parents of addicted loved ones.

Each session includes two important parts:

1. An educational component that offers tools for parents to use when trying to save a son or daughter from addiction, including ways to help them in a healthy way rather than enable their addiction.
2. A support component, a time for parents to interact, sharing what has worked—and not worked—for them in their community.

Not only is the physical and emotional health of parents improved, but in many cases their adult loved one reduces or stops their misuse of substances.

For more information, you may contact the group facilitator, Gene Butcher, at 859-539-5353.

Teen Support

Life is hard, especially in our teen years. This group is specifically for those ages 13 to 17 who are dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, and relational struggles. Students who would like a place for safe sharing of difficult topics are invited as we learn from and find support in one another. The group is facilitated by a number of competent young adults who have a heart for this generation.

Requirements for Attendance:
● Teen and parent/guardian must review and fill out this registration form. This must be complete PRIOR to attending the first group session.

Requirements for Group Participation:
● You MUST be AT LEAST 13 years old and AT MOST 17 years old to be in the group.

● All group sessions are held on Thursday evenings at the Blankenbaker site. Group starts between 7:30-7:45 pm to allow worship service attendees to arrive. As a courtesy to facilitators and other group members, please arrive no later than 7:45 pm, as you may not be allowed to enter after 8:00 pm. The group ends at 8:45 pm.

● Group facilitators are NOT responsible for your teen before the group’s start time or after the group session has begun. Teens are not allowed to wander around the church building and should remain in the Atrium outside of the group time. Building security staff may address these situations if they arise, but please assist us in keeping your teenagers safe and pick up / drop off at designated times. We appreciate your help on this matter.

● Confidentiality is important in keeping this group a safe resource for all teens. We ask that all topics discussed be kept amongst group members. Exceptions to this request are: plans to harm oneself or others, possible ongoing abuse of minors or elders. In these cases, we reserve the right to break confidentiality and report to the proper authorities. These situations will be addressed individually and away from the group to maintain privacy. Our goal is to support you in the best way we can with safety for everyone in mind. Parents will be notified in appropriate situations.

● By attending this group, teens are committing to participate when appropriate and to unpack the emotional burden of life stressors with each other. This is not a place to “hang out.”

● This is NOT a professional therapy group. If your teen needs professional support, members of our Care Team can provide resources.

● Each group session begins with a quick review of group rules/guidelines for any new members. These rules/guidelines serve to provide an effective and therapeutic environment. Disruptive behavior will first be addressed with individual teens then with the parent/guardian. If disruptive behavior continues to affect group expectations, your teen may not be allowed to return.

● Parents are not permitted to attend the group session.

TO REGISTER, please email Chris at lifewellky@gmail.com.

At the Well

At the Well is a class for those who have participated in Encounter groups with the purpose of gaining a next step into community. However, anyone may attend. This is a fellowship of the hurting who are looking to be challenged in their spiritual and emotional growth.

Are you certain you are ready to deal with relationships again? Are you ready to be vulnerable and overcome your fears? Real-life issues are addressed with topics on compulsions, trust, true love, loneliness, grace, forgiveness, bitterness, hope, self-control, joy vs. happiness, self-examination, beliefs, true intimacy, worship, transformation, brokenness, and fear. This list is not exhaustive but relevant to the issues faced by those who are wounded by circumstances in life.

It is a forum of participation, not passive teaching. It is a place to hear what God has to say about where and who we are in Him. It is the next step in your support and recovery experience.

Lamentations 3:40 NIV says, "Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord."
